Three ways to wear kora.

Made slowly, by hand, in cloth that softens the longer you live in it.

Kora is cotton left as it came off the loom. Saadgi is the plain kind of simplicity. Soul is what stays after the trend has gone.

The cloth

Kora, left alone.

Handloom cotton and linen bought unbleached and undyed, so the colour is the colour of the fibre. It arrives stiff and softens with every wash. The slubs and the uneven weave are the point; two pieces are never identical.

The hand

Stitched, not printed.

Every sprig, cherry and flower on the rail is embroidered by hand, one placket at a time. Buttons are coconut shell or wood. Prahlad Bhai, who has cut cloth for thirty years, makes each pattern and sews it in the studio.

The cut

Room to move.

Boxy shirts, balloon and kimono sleeves, kurtas cut straight, kaftans cut wide. Many pieces are one size and fit XS to XL because the shape does the work, not the sizing. Made to be lived in, not stood in.

The woman behind it

They always said I had style. So I sewed it into something real.

Korra Vastrra began in Arti Kapur's home. Friends kept asking where her clothes came from, and the honest answer was that she made them. The first collection opened in October 2025 with a rail of shirts, kaftans and dresses in unbleached cotton. Two exhibitions later, the rail is longer and the idea has not changed: Indian silhouettes, timeless shades, nothing hurried.

Style is a reflection of who you are. How comfortable, how confident, and most importantly, feeling like yourself.Arti Kapur
